UiPath (NYSE: PATH), a leading company in enterprise automation and AI, has announced a significant partnership with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat) aimed at empowering 100,000 Indonesians with essential enterprise automation skills by the year 2027. This collaboration seeks to bolster Indonesia’s workforce in its journey to become a global hub for AI and automation talent.
Central to this initiative is the integration of enterprise automation training into Indosat’s IDCamp curriculum. This enhanced program will include comprehensive courses focused on enterprise automation, allowing participants to earn UiPath Certified Professional credentials. This partnership is a strategic move to equip the Indonesian workforce with the necessary skills to thrive in an increasingly digital economy.
Daniel Dines, Founder and CEO of UiPath, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “As Indonesia aims to establish itself as a global economic powerhouse, it is crucial to strengthen workforce resilience and build digital skills. UiPath is thrilled to partner with Indosat to foster innovation and democratize learning in enterprise automation. Together, we will facilitate the sustainable adoption of these technologies and prepare Indonesia’s workforce for success in the digital landscape.”
Indosat’s President Director and CEO, Vikram Sinha, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the company’s commitment to harnessing advanced technology for national empowerment. Expanding IDCamp with Automation Training
The partnership will see the introduction of two specialized web-based courses in enterprise automation development and citizen development within Indosat’s IDCamp. The newly designed courses, titled UiPath Automation Explorer and UiPath Citizen Developer, aim to equip learners with vital automation skills.
Participants in IDCamp will have access to a wealth of free resources, including comprehensive courses on enterprise automation technologies, software editions from the UiPath Academic Alliance, and opportunities to earn UiPath Certified Professional credentials. This initiative not only prepares participants for the digital workforce but also connects them with a vibrant community of global automation professionals.
Since its inception, IDCamp has already provided online coding scholarships to over 273,000 individuals. The program emphasizes real-world case studies, ensuring that high-achieving graduates receive support for global certifications and career advancement. Furthermore, the partnership will expand the UiPath Academic Alliance in Indonesia, collaborating with more than 18 academic institutions and impacting over 8,000 students. Indosat plans to support these institutions through various initiatives, including workshops and hackathons, aimed at applying AI and enterprise automation to address real-world challenges.
Addressing the Digital Skills Gap
As Indonesia strives to become the fourth-largest economy by 2045, bridging the digital skills gap is imperative. The collaboration between UiPath and Indosat represents a crucial step in achieving this goal. By equipping a significant portion of the population with automation skills, the initiative aims to foster a workforce that is not only adaptable but also prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly changing digital economy.
To provide further insights into the UiPath Automation Explorer and UiPath Citizen Developer courses, Indosat and UiPath will host two webinars on October 17, 2024, and November 7, 2024. These sessions will delve into the details of the courses and the broader objectives of the partnership.
